2. Psychological Treatment
Cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT), cognitive analytic therapy (CAT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and dynamic therapy are used for the treatment of anorexia nervosa. In these treatments, the patient is asked to talk about how they got this disorder, the wrong thoughts about food and weight are tried to be corrected and the emotional responses of the patient is tried to be treated. These therapies can take some time and it can go on with regular sessions over a few months. The treatment can involve other family members.
