4. Consume Less Salt, More Water
High sodium (salt) consumption is a common cause of swelling of the feet. Following a low-salt diet usually reduces the edema that causes swollen feet. Avoid high-sodium foods and do not add extra salt to your meals.
Drink extra water (aiming 6-8 glasses a day) will lower the sodium level and excrete the salt you’re your system. Also, since they contain sodium that increases edema, try to avoid caffeinated drinks.
